How to Play Electronic Poker
Electronic Poker is a favored game that can be played in casinos across the world, or in your house on your PC, through an Internet connection. The rules are very straightforward and consist of the player trying to achieve the highest mixture of cards achievable in order to acquire money. In this respect it’s very similar as a classic game of poker, minus the line of contact with other players. Of course, methods used in a real-life game of poker, such as tricking, will be irrelevant here.
The game of Video Poker begins when the enthusiast puts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the machine and presses the draw button. A hand of 5 cards will then be electronically ‘handed out’ on the screen.
The Video Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and enthusiasts should now choose which cards to keep and which to throw away. The hand is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the pay out schedule.
Typically, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It is obvious that the pay out schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that skillful gamblers are agile enough to choose the most beneficial machine each instance.
As soon as the first round has played out, the player can either choose to continue on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that they may have won. Additionally, some versions of the game give the player an opportunity to double their wins, in which case another game is played. There are also variations between specific games, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing aspects to enhance playability.
